Adventure is Here!

It’s no accident that Camp Highlander is located in the mountains of Western North Carolina. With the Pisgah National Forest, Nantahala River and our home on Forge Mountain, we like to think of the area as nature’s playground. Our wilderness department offers plenty of adventure both on and off-camp including mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, rock climbing and a high ropes course to boot! Whether you’re learning paddling techniques on Silver Lake, learning to mountain bike, or conquering the rock wall and high ropes course (or the Crow’s Nest, as we call it), each wilderness activity provides ample opportunities to face new challenges, discover new talents and accomplish more than you ever thought possible!
