Horseback Riding
Horseback riding is always a favorite at Camp Highlander, and campers have two ways they get to experience this off-camp trip.
We have Camper Choice Trail Rides (ages 9-16) on camper choice days for a one-hour trail ride in our beautiful and beloved Pisgah Forest, mounted on well-trained horses, that are professionally guided, for a morning of fun and adventure!
In addition to our camper choice rides, our intermediate camp cabins will be scheduled for a horse trip once per session. This will be a special off-camp trip only available to intermediate campers to enjoy as a cabin group. Cabins will be scheduled for a morning or afternoon trip that will include a one-hour trail ride in Pisgah National Forest!
