This morning marked the final half day of Color War 2025. We kicked things off with our last round of competitions at 10:00 a.m., followed by the much-anticipated Final Program at 11:00.
The Final Program presents a one-act play written, cast, and directed by the staff and performed by the campers. Everything from the sets and costumes to the props and production is created by both campers and staff in just four short days. And somehow, every year, the magic unfolds. This year’s plays from both teams were absolutely fantastic—creative, thoughtful, funny, and deeply moving. I’m in awe of the talent, imagination, and collaboration that bring these performances to life.
Our Color War theme this year was a quote from The Muppets and a message that both teams embraced beautifully.
Life’s like a movie—write your own ending. Keep believing, keep pretending.
The Blue Knights’ play delivered a powerful message about integrity, reminding us that every decision shapes the bigger picture of our lives. We are the authors of our story, and our choices will define our future.
The Red Dragons’ play was a celebration of childlike wonder, encouraging us all to keep imagining, keep pretending, and never let go of the joy of play.
The Final Program also includes two more cherished traditions: the unveiling of a plaque—handcrafted by the staff as a gift to camp and their opponents—and the alma maters, written and performed by each team. These moments are scored by the Green Giants and added to the overall Color War totals.

After tallying every point from the competitions, evening programs, and the Final Program, the Red Dragons were named the winners of Color War 2025. It was an incredibly close contest, a thrilling finish, and a testament to the heart, hustle, and spirit of both teams.
I couldn’t be prouder of our campers and staff for the passion, creativity, and camaraderie they poured into every moment this week. We’ve had the best time together—and while we’re celebrating the end of an amazing Color War, I’m also feeling the bittersweet truth that our time together is almost over.
We enjoyed a long rest hour and a relaxing afternoon watching a movie in the gym and enjoying ice cream treats. Tonight’s dinner was a laid back cookout on the field before camper’s choice sign ups, one last visit to Gus’ and our last Square Dance of the summer. It was truly a wonderful day.
These past two weeks have felt like watching the most beautiful movie—one you never want to end. And if I could, I’d hit the rewind button and live through Session C 2025 all over again.
