What an incredible day we’ve had on Old Forge today! The moment the gates of camp swung open this morning and our Session B campers started to arrive, you could feel the shift in the air. The energy was unreal! I turned to the staff beside me with a big smile and said, “I told you Session B would bring the energy!”

With every car that rolled in, it was clear: these campers came ready to fill Camp Highlander with fun, friendship, laughter, and boundless enthusiasm. They’re here to make the absolute most of every moment, to squeeze every joyful and wonderful gift from our time together on this mountain—and I LOVE IT!

I loved seeing how much your children have grown over the past year while their love for Camp Highlander remains unchanged. Even better? Watching them channel that love and spirit into welcoming every new camper with open arms. It didn’t take long at all for our newest campers to dive in and embrace this incredible gift we call Camp Highlander.

It was amazing to watch our campers jump feet first into camp life today as if they simply couldn’t wait another second. From screaming for grilled cheese in the dining hall at lunch to embracing the chill of the pool for their swim test to dancing with friends at campfire, they brought the spirit that makes Highlander so special.

Over the next two weeks, this B-IG ENERGY will be the heartbeat of everything we do. It will be the reason that campers and cabin groups become a family. It will transform this mountain into a true home away from home. It will provide deep friendship, unconditional love, and non-stop laughter. They’ll discover so much about themselves, learn how to care for others, and see firsthand why Camp Highlander is truly A Place Like No Other.

Thank you for making Camp Highlander part of your summer. We’re so grateful for the memories we’ll get to create with your children. I know this session will fly by—because with campers bringing B-IG energy, the fun just won’t stop!
