We had a beautiful and fantastic day at camp today. Sundays are super busy for us as a leadership team, so I am going to keep it short and sweet with ALL the favorites of the day:

Chapel

For Chapel this morning we read the book What Do You Do with a Problem? by Kobi Yamada. We talked about looking at problems as opportunities - opportunities to grow, learn and understand ourselves and others around us. Weather: The weather today was great. We were supposed to have rain all afternoon, but the rain held off until right in the middle of dinner. This was great because the sunshine let us enjoy a wonderful afternoon of activities, but the rain did mean we had to have an indoor campfire.

Meals

Breakfast this morning was blueberry muffins, crispy bacon, scrambled eggs and our fresh fruit and yogurt bar. Lunch was corn dogs and a salad and sandwich bar. For dinner we had chicken alfredo with roasted broccoli and garlic bread along with our sandwich and salad bar.

Sunday Funday

After a longer rest hour today, the bell rang and campers were SO excited to see the Pelican’s snoball truck waiting for them at snack time. The snoballs were a welcomed treat on a hot summer day, and they were delicious! We had Cabin Choice for Sunday Funday today, and cabins got to choose two classes for their afternoon to enjoy with their cabin group. We had ultimate frisbee, bombardment, card games, firebuilding, basketball, pool volleyball, tennis, letter writing, coloring, friendship bracelet making, gaga, reading and zumba. Some cabins were active and others loved relaxing and socializing with their friends. It was a super fun way to spend a Sunday on Old Forge.

EP

Our evening program tonight was campfire. Being rained out of our outdoor campfire didn’t seem to bother anyone. Everyone was dancing and singing to the music, soaking up every minute of this wonderful tradition. After campfire, the gym went crazy when I said head up to the dining hall for cookies and milk! Another wonderful tradition!
