NEW YEAR, NEW IN ADVENTURE

CROW’S NEST

At Camp Highlander we pride ourselves on giving our campers new and exciting adventures every summer. That’s what the camp experience is all about! Coming back year after year and discovering something even better about camp and ourselves is what makes camp so magical. Every day is a new adventure on Old Forge, and every summer offers new challenges. One staple of those thrilling adventures is our high ropes course, known as the “Crow’s Nest.” Since its inaugural summer in 2015, the Crow’s Nest has been one of Highlander’s most popular activities. Elevating our campers to new heights each summer, their goal has been to complete and master each of the twenty-one obstacles on the course.

Many have succeeded, and now it is time to bring some new challenges to the course. This summer campers will be welcomed by three new obstacles as they traverse the Crow’s Nest! Just as we encourage them to do every day, these new elements will continue to give our campers the opportunity to be bold and try new things. But that’s not all…

MOUNTAIN BIKING

We’ve hit another gear. After a summer hiatus, Mountain Biking is back at Camp Highlander! While we could have just dusted off the helmets and given the bikes a tune up, we decided to go big. In addition to an updated bike barn, this summer, campers will experience Highlander’s first pump track! We hope the 85 x 55 ft dirt track will become a new favorite of the Camp Highlander experience. Complete with rolling hills, jumps, and quick turns, bikers of all ages will be able to safely practice and test the thrills of mountain biking. Our campers will walk away from the track with enhanced skill, confidence, and a new love for mountain biking.

Courage: Dare to be brave. Courage is found within you and is realized through the support and love of those around you. Dare to be brave. Try new things. Stand by your friends.

We can’t wait for the summer of 2022 to share all of these new opportunities with your campers. They will climb to the treetops up on the Crow’s Nest and put the pedal to the metal, or dirt, on the pump track.

SEE YOU THIS SUMMER!
