The old saying has proven true once again … “time flies when you’re having fun!” Today marks the beginning of the final week in July … can you believe it!? It seems as if the summer just began and already we’ve nearly reached the end of July. No worries though, we still have plenty of time left at camp and we plan to make the most of it!

Yesterday was a beautiful day on the mountain, chock-full of excitement and discovery and adventure! It all culminated in the wildly competitive, Battle of Old Forge EP! From bombardment games and sock puppet shows, tug-of-war contests and even a belly flop competition, it was a night to remember!

Tuesday morning arrived bright and clear and sunny! The next round of afternoon showers shouldn’t hit us until tomorrow, so today figures to be another perfect summer day! Big Mac encouraged all of us this morning to really get to know the people around us. Each individual person is unique to themselves, with their own story, their own hopes, their own dreams, their own fears and their own purpose in life. How often do we fail to recognize the value of the people around us? Instead, we should enjoy the time we’ve been given with the people around us. Get to know them and let them get to know you!

And with that, it’s off to the dining hall for some breakfast (mmm, cinnamon rolls!)

Until tomorrow,
One Love
