On Monday, Gaynell went into the hospital for an MRI. It was determined that he needed to have knee surgery. The wonderful doctors here in Asheville performed the surgery today, and Gaynell is doing really well in recovery. We were thrilled to hear that the doctor said the surgery could not have gone better.
Gaynell will be in and out of camp as he recovers from surgery and undergoes physical therapy. Things at Camp Highlander continue to operate as usual, and it has been amazing to see the outpouring of love for our fearless leader and Senior Director, Gaynell.
At Reflect at the Rock on Monday morning, Gaynell asked “Are you a warrior?” Warriors are those who persevere through the trials of life, and who lead the positive energy of this mountain. He called us all to be warriors in life, and in his honor and by the ultimate example of a warrior that he is to us, we will persevere and make him proud.
