The horses were dressed in RED, WHITE, and BLUE as they galloped through camp and the riders sounded the alarm, that the war had begun. Troops gathered in their team colors of Red and White, representing the Stripes Brigade, and Blue White, representing the Stars Batallion.

The Revolutionary Leaders declared the battle for which part of the flag is more important, the Stars or the Stripes.
