Greetings from Camp

Its been a busy February for us here up in the mountains. Early this month, Shelley and I headed for Nashville, TN for the American Camp Association National Convention. It was doubly exciting for me as one of our daughters has just moved to Nashville from LA. You older campers will remember Whitney from the summer of 2003. Each day was filled with educational seminars that we attended in order to learn about the different aspects of camp and how to make Camp Highlander better. Whitney was kind enough to babysit Carter, our grandson, each day while we learned and learned and learned! The best part of the week was visiting the Perkinson family (Elizabeth, James, Hannah-Louise, Wills, William and Laura-Louise) at their home in Franklin for a very successful show. (For all you country western music lovers, Franklin is the home of the biggest country stars in the US)
For all of my favorite girl campers, the total renovation of the reknowned cabin one is going fabulously!!!!! The Hotel in girls camp and the Alamo in boys camp can't hold a candle to the NEW CABIN ONE! We will be putting pictures up of the finished product, including the enormous new bathroom early in the spring. Can't wait for all you girls to see it!
Can't believe the enrollment for Summer 2008! Be sure to get your applications in ASAP. Enrollment is about 60 days ahead of schedule. And we are thrilled!
Wishing all of you the best! See you in a few months!
Karl
