Summer Camp Staff

The Camp Highlander staff is the key ingredient for the success of each summer. They are the creators of the fun, the joy and the magic that your child will experience at camp. Our cabin counselors and activity counselors serve as positive role models and mentors for our campers. We believe in surrounding our campers with staff who are encouraging healthy choices and behavior that will shape our campers' future decisions. We hire only the best for your camper to look up to and follow.

Each of our staff members are hand picked after multiple interviews, reference requests and background checks. Only the most compassionate and responsible young adults are hired at Camp Highlander, with their only goal to give your child a summer they will never forget.

Counselors seek to make the day of each of their campers and provide fun and excitement for their cabin group. Counselors describes this as “the greatest job of their lives,” and the greatest responsibility. Many of our staff are former campers who have experienced the gift of Highlander, and they look forward to giving that same magic back to their campers.

Our activity counselors are good teachers, trained an educated or certified in a specialty area. They are patient leaders who enjoy working with children and sharing their passion with campers. Our activity counselors are investing in the skill development and personal growth of your child, while ensuring their safety and well-being at each activity.
