The Purpose of our Summer Camp
Camp Highlander is dedicated to growing and nurturing boys and girls in a safe, fun-filled wilderness setting. Our goal is to provide positive role models, personal growth and priceless memories for every camper through our exceptional staff and incomparable programming.
Positive Role Models
We believe that surrounding our campers with staff who are encouraging healthy choices and behavior that will shape our campers’ future decisions. We provide top-shelf, young adults to be mentors, leaders and role models your camper can look up to and follow.
Personal Growth
Our core philosophy is the cabin unit, with a maximum of 10 campers and a minimum of 2 staff members working as a group throughout their stay at camp. This environment is a family, or support system that encourages every camper to compromise, cooperate and share. While living, playing and working together as a group, every camper will develop life-long skills.
Priceless Memories
As a cabin group, campers will participate in many on-camp and off-camp adventures. Our campers will challenge themselves with new activities and progress in perfecting old skills. While in a cabin group, a camper feels comfortable to try new things and accomplish individual goals that promote self-confidence. We want every camper to leave with a heart full of memories and lifelong friends.
